Synopsis: Brand identity for the debut Northern Lights Film Festival. The design was required to reference Newcastle upon Tyne and the Baltic States; between whom the inaugural Tyne Tallinn Digital Film Challenge was taking place.
The typography is based upon Scandinavian ‘futhark’ runic characters, while the accompanying icon is a dramatic illustrated abstraction of the Millennium Bridge in Newcastle.
The branding was applied to a wide range of print and web design applications.
