Synopsis: Based on sights, sounds and experiences from a trip to San Francisco. Visual references include the Golden Gate Bridge, Alta Plaza Park (after which the artwork is titled), the Waterfront district and the Palace of the Legion of Honor. It was at the Palace where I was mesmerised by “Portrait of a Young Girl in a Green Dress” by Tamara de Lempicka, and I was compelled to create my own version.
