Synopsis: Artwork for Northern Stars Young Filmmakers Academy’s 2010 recruitment campaign; aimed at enlisting young people aged 15-18.

The illustration’s concept was developed from Nstars’ tagline “Growing passionate filmmakers from the North East,” and, as so often happens, it spiralled off into a wonderfully bizarre reality where King Kong, having climbed the blooming Northern Stars tree, has swapped his obsession with starlet Ann Darrow in favour of a new career in filmmaking.
