Tyneside Cinema commissioned Velcrobelly to design the identity and printed materials for their 2013-2014 fundraising Appeal.
This campaign encourages film-lovers and the Tyneside’s enthusiastic audience to help raise capital towards building a brand new cinema screen, video art gallery and café bar.
A focal point for the campaign design is establishing a distinct visual frontage for the cinema building, to demonstrate that this is a large-scale development which will change the face of Pilgrim Street.
Although the cinema occupies a significant amount of real estate on its block, it has lacked a significant street-level entrance on Pilgrim Street, with the main entrance currently tucked away on High Friar Lane. The architectural line-art illustration of the building is used to quickly and simply demonstrate how the building will grow as a result of the development.
The campaign comprised of logo and identity design, leaflets, posters, sponsorship packs, advertising, T-shirts and building graphics.
