BFI Film Academy – Recruitment campaign and conference

Tyneside Cinema commissioned Velcrobelly to design this recruitment campaign for their tenure of the British Film Institutes’s Film Academy, a nationwide programme encouraging young people aged 16-19 to pursue a career in filmmaking. The design is a playfully homage to Uncle Sam’s I Need You… recruitment poster melded with Ewen McGregor’s iconic black and white portrait from Trainspotting.

Thanks for all the artwork for the BFI Academy and From The Horse’s Mouth. It looked awesome and the young filmmakers and mums and dads are all looking to buy a copy of the Sweded Classic poster, so it’s already a collectors item!
