Chinese New Year – celebration brochure design

NewcastleGateshead Initiative commissioned Velcrobelly to update the print campaign for their Chinese New Year events programme. Working closely with the local Chinese community to produce a brochure design that was culturally sensitive to ancient Chinese symbolism.
The brochure welcomed the year of the Dragon in January 2012, the year of the Snake in February 2013, and the year of the Horse in February 2014.
The designs comprise an eight-page A5 folding brochure and an A3 poster, both of which are typeset in English and Chinese.
