Dragon Steps – children’s illustrations

Juice Festival invited Velcrobelly to design and illustrate this fantasy-inspired map for Dragon Steps – a do-it-yourself theatre puzzle for young people aged five to ten years old – which took place at six of NewcastleGateshead’s major cultural attractions during Juice Festival 2012. Velcrobelly enjoyed recreating key Newcastle landmarks as children’s illustrations.

The venues are caricatured in a fashion that relates to their part of the Dragon Steps storyline, which unfolds as children visit each of the locations.
