In spring 2013, Journalism student Peter Cumiskey approached Velcrobelly to ask for assistance with the final project of his Journalism degree, Ouse News, a website design to present his collected articles about life in Newcastle’s creative heart, the Ouseburn Valley. As a working resident of the Ouseburn, how could I say no!
Velcrobelly created a logotype design for Ouse News and a private website design which would display all of Peter’s articles, organised by category.
Following assessment, and Peter’s graduation with first class honours, the Ouse News website design was rebuilt in WordPress for easy maintenance and made public, where Peter continues to chronicle creative life in the Ouseburn.
