Read Regional is an annual campaign which celebrates selected new books from the North of England. Authors take part in events and discuss their work at libraries and literary festivals across the North.
Velcrobelly have been collaborating with New Writing North on Read Regional since 2012.
2017 ushered in a major redesign for Read Regional; bringing its identity under the umbrella of New Writing North’s rebranding by Studio DMC.
This involved updating the design work to meet the new brand guidelines while maintaining an aesthetic familiarity for previous Read Regional participants.
Available for free to readers throughout the North East and Yorkshire via promotions in libraries, bookshops and festivals; the 2017 Read Regional campaign literature included a 44 page programme guide, digital reading guides, postcards, bookmarks and stickers.
